1930's Modernist chair

This lovely 1930's chair has been stripped back to the frame and traditionally upholstered with hand sprung and stitched seat and back.

The beautiful fabric is designed by David Irwinfor Bute Fabrics and its called Kin. It’s made from wool & silk which makes it incredibly soft to the touch but also wonderfully hard wearing. The pattern is made from the fingerprints of the staff at Bute, celebrating the makers mark and the impact of human touch even in machine production.

This chair is currently on sale at The Hidden House Artist Open House each weekend throughout May as part of the Brighton Festival. Please pop along to try it for size!
