1930's Heal's chair

Elaine was looking for a nice bentwood arm chair for her living room and I happened to have a Heal's frame in need of renovation. The chair model appears in the Heal's catalogue of the 1930s as design number S394.

Now it's been rebuilt from the frame up, covered in a lovely textured wool from Bute Fabrics and it’s all-in-one arm/leg combo was restored using using traditional wood finishing techniques. It felt very satisfying to give this lovely chair a new lease of life!
